Romper Roller Coaster

My friend Josie and I were reminiscing our "living in ignorance" lives as babies, which got me thinking...rompers have been in and out of style for months now and I would just like some clarification. I have about 5 hung up in my closet. Personally, this is a key piece for anyone living near the coast. The only problem is that this look can go terribly wrong or extremely chic.
For example, the Kardashian's wardrobe is 80% rompers, 10% Loubitons, 9% push up bras and 1% chic (sorry Kim)
while Blake Lively is 100% chic (when wearing a romper/jumpsuit/anything)
I've gathered "Do's and Dont's" when styling this tedious baby wear
DO
  • Buy lace anything, chevron anything, floral anything (even if it's not a romper, buy it)
  • Splurge a little bit, this is going to be something your'e going to wear alot and you dont want it falling apart
  • A double v-neck like this, its easy to accessorize and goes great with espadrilles
  • A jumpsuit, you'll look just like BeyoncĂ©

DON'T
  • Buy something too constricting, jumpers/rompers are designed for comfort. If they are uncomfortable, what hope do we have?
  • belt it, just don't
  • go strapless, it's not a good look since there is no neckline
  • take it too seriously, rompers are cute for going on errands, lunch dates, family parties, not actual social events.

Now, if you see anyone violating these guidelines, slap them, and introduce them to the nearest Free People, Anthropologie, All Saints or whatever
